History and Heritage
Lake Mungo National Park is one of Australia’s most significant historical sites. After discovers in the 1960’s were made when both male and female Aboriginal remains were found at the lake. Mungo Lady and Mungo Man are 42,000 years old and hold an important place in archaeological history.
